Founded in 1951 by railway workers from Auray, Kevrenn Alré is one of the oldest and most prestigious traditional Breton music and dance ensembles.
The Auray circle is a genuine dance school in its own right. The group's attachment to its Alréenne, Haute-Vannetaise and Breton culture in general, and to dance in particular, has led it on many occasions to put on emblematic shows that will live long in the public's memory. It was runner-up in the dance championship in 2007, 2010 and 2016, and finished in third place for several years (in 2008, 2009, 2011, 2012 and 2013).
Kevrenn Alré has been competing in the elite Excellence category for over 30 years, and is the second most successful group in the Kendalc'h confederation.
