Ronan Le Bars, born on 8 April 1968 in Guingamp (Côtes-d'Armor), is a French musician of Breton heritage, renowned for his virtuosity on the uilleann pipes, bagpipes and low whistle.
He plays with leading Breton bands such as L'Héritage des Celtes, The Celtic Social Club, An Tour-Tan, Celtictales, Celtic Procession, Pennoù Skoulm and Glaz. He has worked with some of Brittany's greatest artists, including Alan Stivell, Dan Ar Braz, Gilles Servat, Denez Prigent, Red Cardell, Gabriel Yacoub, Soïg Sibéril, Didier Squiban, Manu Lann-Huel, Jacques Pellen and the Boclé brothers. He has also appeared on albums by Deep Forest, Johnny Hallyday, Claude Nougaro, Renaud, Yann Tiersen, Stephan Eicher, Michel Polnareff...
