The commune of Crac'h (pronounced “crack”) is located in the canton of Auray, arrondissement of Lorient, and covers 3,054 ha with a population of 3,431 as of January 1, 2020.
It is bordered to the east by the Auray river, to the west by the Crac'h river, and to the south by the Atlantic Ocean. Its motto “Douar ha Mor” (Breton for “land and sea”) reflects its privileged geographical location. Halfway between Vannes and Lorient, on the Nantes - Quimper axis, and close to renowned sites such as Sainte-Anne d'Auray, Carnac and La Trinité-sur-Mer, the commune enjoys a strategic location in terms of tourism and the economy.
