The Semaine du Golfe is gearing up for its 13th edition, and to make sure the party is complete, the organisers are not forgetting businesses, who can also take part in the exceptional maritime days taking place from 26 May to 1 June 2025. ‘The Semaine du Golfe du Morbihan welcomes a fleet of beautiful French and European heritage yachts. These boats are licensed for commercial operation and can therefore take on board, on a daily basis, a private crew from a company, an association, an organisation or even a works council’, explain the organisers, who are making available a catalogue of 21 fine chartered boats, including Le Français (pictured), built in 1948 for the Royal Greeland Trading Company and now owned by an association chaired by Vannes-based entrepreneur Frédéric Lescure, whose aim is to work towards the preservation of this European heritage building.
‘The organisation's sole motivation is to bring these magnificent yachts to the Golfe du Morbihan and thereby enhance the nautical spectacle and the public's interest in these tall ships. But it's also, and above all, a way of involving the local and regional economic communities in this major pre-season event’, explains Anne Morice, in charge of maritime coordination for this renowned event.
