The next edition of La Semaine du Golfe in 2025 will take place during Ascension week, as always, from Monday May 26 to Sunday June 1. The new Management Board, chosen by the Supervisory Board chaired by Philippe Le Bérigot, has just made the official announcement.
The Management Board, a management and organizational body, is made up of old and new members, each with responsibilities in line with his or her skills, professional background and connections in the maritime and heritage worlds.
Thierry Verneuil: President; Jean-Paul Benon: relations with host ports; Loïc Fournier-Foch: maritime; Didier Greggory: treasurer; Xavier Hubert: relations with volunteers and flotilla captains; Patrick Levy: communications; Christine Morvan: relations with municipalities and volunteers; Ariane Regaud: environment, administration and boating safety.
The management board points out that this thirteenth edition of the Semaine du Golfe will be in keeping with the spirit of previous editions, with conviviality and solidarity between sailors remaining a key focus: sailing from port to port in flotillas and an organization working in collaboration with the Département, the communes, their associations and volunteers who will, as always, be at the heart of the operation, both on land and on the "small sea". The operational team has been re-established, with most of those who made the 2023 edition such a success.
As part of the European circuit of major maritime heritage events, the Semaine du Golfe will welcome remarkable Tall Ships, century-old boats, working sailboats, "classic" yachts, "motonautisme" units and smaller boats, sail-avirons and yawls. The whole fleet, divided into distinct flotillas, will sail from port to port in the 17 communes that border the Gulf of Morbihan. 2025 will also be an opportunity to associate ourselves with UNESCO's recognition of the remarkable site of the megaliths, which belong as much to the maritime heritage as to the land.
The first major event of the next Semaine du Golfe will be the Volunteers' Evening, a festive and convivial moment of gratitude scheduled for Saturday, March 2. Over 600 Semaine du Golfe volunteers are expected at the stade de la Rabine. The evening will also provide an opportunity for constructive exchanges, with the aim of further enhancing the appeal and reputation of what is already France's biggest maritime festival, held in the exceptional and unique setting of the Gulf of Morbihan.
The Semaine du Golfe represents 1,200 boats, 17 towns, 5,000 sailors and 3,500 volunteers.
