This afternoon, La Semaine du Golfe du Morbihan met with a number of local players to work on waste management and develop waste prevention initiatives and sustainable solutions.
What is the objective? A ‘zero impact’ and ‘zero waste’ Semaine du Golfe.
A number of topics were addressed, including catering management, with the use of reusable crockery such as Re-Uz cups, and the advance booking of meals by local authorities to reduce food waste.
Waste sorting is also a major issue, with the introduction of instructions and good practices, the proliferation of specific sorting bins, and also the sorting of shellfish waste, an initiative that will be stepped up for the 2025 edition.
Whether you're a sailor or a visitor, instructions and memos will be available on our digital media, as well as at the event venues, to support you and help you adopt reflexes aimed at achieving the goal of a ‘zero impact’ event!
A big thank you to GMVagglomeration, Auray Quiberon Terre Atlantique, the municipalities taking part in the event, SYSEM - Syndicat de traitement des déchets ménagers du Sud-Est Morbihan, and the company Re-Uz (Ecocup) for their participation and commitment!
