Benbow is one of a dozen grp hulls (called Castletown one-designs) moulded from a 1905 yawl built in Port St Mary, Isle of Man. Built in 1999 and originally gaff rigged, Benbow was re-built in 2022 to its present form with a Bermudan rig. The early 1980s alloy rig comes from a cruising version of a National 18' with a less than maximum mast height.
