The GRP hull of the Fuut is a "Randmeer", a Dutch open sailing dinghy, designed by van der Stadt. The cabin is designed bij Lambrechtsen and built in marine plywood. The Fuut is home built by the owner. The orignal sloup Marconi rig is changed to Yawl rig. The Fuut is equipped with an electrical outboard motor. The boat has a shallow keel with a center board.
