Sail number: 2
Year of construction: 1984, Shipyard: Piersma, Studbook number: 1485, Client: NJHC Heeg
Length: 4.70, Width: 1.70
To replace the second 'Wearlamke' (1960 and now owned by former instructor Kees Vlaanderen) and three other tjotters, which were sold due to excessive maintenance costs, the yards Piersma in Heeg, Van der Meulen in Sneek, Van der Werff in Workum and Blom in Hindeloopen were commissioned by the NJHC to each build a new small tjotter. Piersma built the 'Wearlamke III'. It has two corridors above a raised surface. The buoy was collected proportionately higher.
Sailing characteristics: The Wearlamke is a relatively wide tjotter, which, thanks to the buoyancy, floats in the water
long outside ends on the windy courses.
