Classic Drascombe Keelyacht. Well, not quite so classic in this case, as I put a modern BayRaider Gunter rig on her, complete with carbon masts and self-tacking jib. Singlehandable, and sailing like a little witch now.
The main and quite unique advantage of the boat is its shallow draught of 2ft., so launchable and retrievable from a beach, while still being a sturdy and capable little keelyacht, with no moving parts underneath, and suitable for Atlantic conditions.
Two guys have sailed their Drifter up to the Arctic Circle, Chapeau!
Sadly, they do not make such clever little yachts any more today.
