Commissioned by the Youth Hostel and Sailing School 'it Beaken' in Heeg, Gebroeders de Jong shipyard from Heeg built this Tjotter het Wearlamke in 1959. The Wearlamke served as a sailing instruction boat at the sailing school until 1985.
The current owner and former sailing instructor, Kees Vlaanderen, came into possession of the old Wearlamke in 2012 and saved her from destruction through a thorough restoration.
As a former instructor, he met his wife in Wearlamke in 1979, she then received sailing lessons from him. Now their children and grandchildren often sail in the restored Tjotter.
